Cold Case Murder / Home Invasion Robbery Suspects Arrested
July 22, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on June 13, 2007, at 11:54 p.m., deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff's Station responded to a home invasion robbery and reports of a shooting at a residence located in the 19000 block of Mariposa Avenue, Mead Valley. Upon deputies' arrival, they located Andres Valdes, a 51-year-old male, suffering from gunshot injuries. Valdes was pronounced deceased at the scene. Several additional victims, who had been assaulted and suffered minor injuries, were located at the scene. Deputies learned that several masked suspects entered the property with the intent of committing a robbery. Valdes became involved in a physical altercation with the suspects when one of the suspects shot and killed him.
