Shooting Suspect Arrested 

July 25, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on January 3, 2025, deputies responded to a residence within the 31600 block of Saddle Ridge Drive, Lake Elsinore, regarding the report of gunshots. Upon arrival, deputies located evidence of a shooting and confirmed that no one inside the residence had been struck by gunfire.

During a review of video surveillance, deputies observed an unknown male fire a gun at the residence. The Region 4 Gang Task Force assumed the investigation, and with the assistance of the Lake Elsinore Station’s Special Enforcement Team, identified the suspect as Jalen Craig, a 19-year-old resident of Corona.

On July 18, 2025, Jalen Craig was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
