Burglary Suspect Arrested
July 27, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, July 24, 2025, about 2:00 a.m., deputies
from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a burglary occurring in the 69500 block of Dillon Road in the unincorporated area of Desert Hot Springs. The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend entered the residence and assaulted her and her current boyfriend while they were sleeping.
Upon arrival, deputies searched the area, but the suspect had fled the location. One of the victims suffered significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation and identified the suspect as Isaac Murrell, a 35-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs.
With the assistance of Gang Task Force-Region 1 and the Riverside Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, Murrell was located in the 17000 block of Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs, and taken into custody without incident. Murrell was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for burglary and assault causing great bodily injury.
