Deputy-Involved Shooting
July 30, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 6:39 p.m., a deputy
assigned to the Riverside Sheriff’s K9 Unit contacted an adult male motorcyclist on the side of the road in the area of Redlands Boulevard and San Timoteo Canyon Road, in the unincorporated area of Beaumont. When asked if he had any weapons, the male became uncooperative and ran toward a residence in the area. The deputy chased the male, giving him commands to stop and put his hands up. The male produced a firearm, and a deputy-involved shooting occurred.
The suspect was struck by gunfire, and deputies rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. No deputies were injured during this incident, and the suspect’s identity will not be released at this time.
The involved deputy will be placed on paid administrative leave according to department policy. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details will be released at this time.
