Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Severely Injured 

August 1, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the South Traffic Division LAPD logodetectives are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect in a hit-and-run that left a man in his 50’s severely injured.

On June 26, 2025, around 1:10 a.m., the suspect’s vehicle was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Figueroa Street, and collided into a pedestrian, who was walking northbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, identify him/herself, or render aid, and fled the location westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, leaving the victim severely injured.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as an older model gray or silver Toyota Camry.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a traffic collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
