Homicide Investigation Begins After Deputies Respond to Shooting and Later Find Victim in a Crashed Vehicle
August 7, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at about 11:38 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of shots fired near B Street, in Victorville. When deputies arrived, they learned a shooting occurred between two subjects at the location and located bullet strikes on an adjacent building and fired cartridge casings.
At about 11:46 p.m., deputies also responded to a report of a man down after a traffic collision occurred near Kentwood Boulevard and Palmdale Road. The driver, Brian Vieyra, was the sole occupant of a red Chevrolet Silverado and was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Vieyra was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
