Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 8, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 5:59 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection of Pigeon Pass Drive and Cougar Canyon Drive regarding a single-vehicle traffic collision. Deputies arrived on the scene and located a vehicle with major collision damage. The driver and passenger sustained significant injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The second passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Reconstruction team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and the identity of the decedents will not be released pending notification to the next of kin. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision, and no further information is available at this time.
