Riverside County Homicide Investigation 

August 10, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 8:49 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection of Woodward Street and Elizabeth Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male on the ground suffering from a possible gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit was notified and assumed the investigation. The victim's identity is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin. The suspect(s) are unknown at this time.

This investigation is ongoing, and additional follow-up is being conducted. Currently, no further details are available for release.
