Sierra County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Missing Person: GIL CLARK 

August 15, 2025 – Sierra County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Gil Clark, a 78-year-old White male resident of Goodyears Bar.

Mr. Clark was officially reported missing on August 14, 2025. Concerned citizens reached out to the Sheriff’s Office earlier this week regarding his whereabouts. Deputies have contacted Mr. Clark’s family and multiple friends, none of whom have information on his current location.

Through the ongoing missing persons investigation, the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office believes that Mr. Clark was last seen in Downieville on August 5 or 6, 2025, when he was reportedly dropped off by a friend. There have been no confirmed sightings or contact since that time.
