Residential Burglary Arrest
August 29, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at about 6:00 p.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a residential burglary. Members of the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station’s Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation and discovered the victim was inside the residence at the time of the burglary. Through continued investigation, Samantha Gomez, a 24-year-old resident of Coachella, was identified as the suspect for her involvement in the burglary.
On August 28, 2025, at about 6:00 p.m., with assistance from members of the city of Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, Gomez was located and arrested near the area of Interstate 10 and Washington Street in the city of Palm Desert for residential burglary in the first degree. Gomez was transported and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
