Silver Alert Issued for Missing 59-Year-Old Man 

September 3, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Missing Person’s Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 59-year-old Jorge Mejia.

On August 30, 2025, around 2:30 p.m., Jorge Mejia was last seen in the 4900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. Mr. Mejia is currently residing in an assisted living facility in the 13500 block of Sherman Way in Van Nuys.

Jorge Mejia is described as a 59-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs approximately 145 pounds and stands 5 feet 3 inches tall. Mr. Mejia was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and black sandals. Mr. Mejia suffers from dementia.
