Ghost Guns, Alcohol & Another Suspension!
September 5, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that for the FOURTH TIME Jose L. Hernandez, 24, of San Jose was driving on a suspended license for DUI - while still on court probation.
Last Thursday night, Deputy Diaz stopped him in a black Mercedes on N. De Anza Blvd. and McClellan Road in City of Cupertino for expired registration.
But wait, there’s more!
Inside the car deputies discovered:
TWO ghost guns - one of them loaded
An open container of alcohol
And a whole list of reasons to visit the Main Jail.
Hernandez was arrested and booked on charges including:
- Carrying a loaded firearm
- Possessing an unserialized firearm
- Manufacturing a firearm
- Driving on a suspended license
- Having an open alcoholic container in a vehicle
Thanks to Deputy Diaz’s sharp instincts and proactive policing, two illegal firearms are off our streets, and one repeat offender is back in custody.
