Robbery Arrest
September 7, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on August 27, 2025, Elijah Kidd was arrested for his involvement with the robbery at La Unica Mini Market.
On 07/03/2022, at approximately 7:42 A.M., deputies from the Fillmore Police Department responded to a robbery that occurred at La Unica Mini Market, located along the 500-block of Old Telegraph Road in the City of Fillmore. Deputies learned that two unknown male suspects entered the market and brandished their firearms at the store’s employees while demanding money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store. Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau responded to assist with the investigation.
During the investigation, detectives identified one of the robbery suspects as Rotherie Foster. On 02/08/2023, detectives contacted Foster at the Todd Road Jail, where he was incarcerated for an unrelated case. Foster was arrested and supplementally booked for PC 211-Robbery.
During the investigation, Elijah Kidd was identified as the second suspect who committed the robbery at La Unica Mini Market with Foster. The case was presented to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. The Ventura District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and agreed to file second-degree robbery charges against Kidd. On 07/01/2025, detectives obtained a warrant for Kidd’s arrest for three counts of second-degree robbery.
On 08/27/2025, detectives with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau arrested Kidd, for the Ventura County robbery arrest warrant, at his residence in Carmichael, CA. Kidd was booked at the Sacramento County Jail, pending transfer to Ventura County. On 08/28/2025, Kidd was transported to the Ventura County Jail where he was booked for the arrest warrant. Kidd’s next court date is scheduled for 09/10/2025 at 1:30 P.M.
