Homicide in Imperial Beach 

September 7, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 6, 2025, at about 1:25 a.m., deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation responded to the 600 block of Seventh Street in the city of Imperial Beach, reference a disturbance.  Upon their arrival, Deputies discovered one adult male victim suffering from traumatic injuries.  Deputies immediately began CPR until paramedics arrived and assumed lifesaving measures.  Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased.

The decedent's name is not being released at this time, pending confirmation and notification of family members.

Sheriff's Homicide detectives are conducting an investigation, interviewing witnesses, and gathering more evidence. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation.  

Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
