Death Investigation in Fallbrook 

September 7, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a person was found deceased inside a burned vehicle.

On September 6, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Sheriff's deputies from the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation responded to a call of a person who was found deceased inside a burned vehicle located in the 37300 block of De Luz Rd., in Fallbrook.  Upon arrival, deputies located the deceased person inside.  Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, the Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation is ongoing.
