Fatal Traffic Collision 

September 17, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on September 16, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s riverside county sheriff logoPerris Station responded to the area of Murrieta Road south of Orange Avenue, Perris, regarding the report of a major injury traffic collision involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, deputies located the motorcyclist unresponsive on the side of the roadway and began lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to the injuries sustained during the collision.

The Perris Station Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Preliminary findings revealed the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Murrieta Road from Orange Avenue, lost control, and collided with a light pole. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are available.

The identity of the deceased will not be released pending further investigation and notification to the next of kin. A temporary road closure of Murrieta Road between Orange Avenue and Anthirium Avenue was required to process the scene and collect evidence.
