September 20, 2025 – Live Oak, CA – Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 12, 2025, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of domestic violence in the 9800 block of K Street in Live Oak. Upon arrival, deputies located a female victim who reported she had been severely beaten the night before. The investigation revealed that she had been held against her will, had a firearm pointed at her, and had her phone taken to prevent her from calling for help. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Erick Trejo of Live Oak.

On September 18, 2025, Sutter County Sheriff’s detectives conducted an operation which resulted in the arrest of Erick Trejo. Detectives also served a search warrant at his residence. During the search, investigators recovered two firearms, one of which was confirmed to have been reported stolen out of Sacramento County. In addition to the weapons, detectives discovered a quantity of cocaine and evidence indicating fraudulent activity.

Trejo was booked into the Sutter County Jail on multiple felony charges related to domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a concealed, loaded, and stolen firearm.
