Mail Theft Suspect Arrested
September 26, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 11, 2025, at 3:00 a.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station responded to the 13000 block of Carista Boulevard in the unincorporated area of Riverside, known as Lake Hills, regarding a report of mail theft. Upon arrival, deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The Lake Mathews Station Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation and identified Jessica Osburn, a 38-year-old resident of Riverside, as a suspect in the theft.
On September 12, 2025, Osburn was taken into custody without incident at her residence in the 2000 block of Fairmount Boulevard, Riverside. During a search of the location, evidence of mail theft was discovered, including evidence of additional mail thefts from the cities of Lake Mathews, Ontario, Riverside, and Lake Elsinore. Osburn was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for mail theft.
Deputies are working to identify additional suspects involved in this case and have identified Larin Romo (pictured), a 41-year-old resident of Riverside, as a person of interest.
