Hit and Run Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

September 27, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the South Traffic Division LAPD logodetectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two drivers involved in a hit-and-run collision that left a motorcyclist dead.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, around 12:55 p.m., a silver van driving West on Pacific Coast Highway negotiated a left turn in front of a motorcyclist, which was traveling East on Pacific Coast Highway. The motorcyclist lost control and was struck by an older model pickup truck that was driving West on Pacific Coast Highway.

Both drivers fled from the scene and failed to render aid to the motorcyclist.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the collision scene and attempted life saving measures at scene. The 35-year-old victim was pronounced deceased.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
