Burglary Suspect Arrested

October 5, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 8:59 a.m., deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to an open-door call for service in the 43000 block of Mandarin Drive in the unincorporated area of Hemet known as Valle Vista. When deputies arrived, they found the residence unsecured, and it appeared to have been ransacked. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the owner or any suspects.

Deputies from the Hemet Special Enforcement Team were familiar with the residence and assumed the investigation. During the investigation, deputies were able to locate the homeowner and determined a burglary had occurred. The owner advised that multiple items were missing from the residence, including musical instruments and a grey Ford F150.

On Friday, October 3, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Aviation Unit, located the stolen vehicle in the 25000 block of Sundance Lane, Menifee. Deputies conducted a vehicle stop, and the driver, identified as Tony Goff, a 51-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore, was taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, several thousand dollars of stolen musical instruments were located.

The stolen music equipment and vehicle were returned to the owner. Goff was arrested and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for multiple felony charges, including vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details will be released. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call Deputy Roberto Valentin at the Hemet Sheriff’s Station by calling (951) 791-3400.
