You’ve Got Mail… Thieves 

October 6, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that a vigilant neighbor in Los Altos Hills spotted a group of mail thieves helping themselves. Deputies Blomdal and Kirby rushed to the scene and found the suspect car littered with a stolen stash of opened mail and the four suspects inside.

Mail from Town of Los Altos Hills, City of Fremont, City of Sunnyvale, City of Milpitas, City of San José, and Town of Los Gatos was recovered. But that wasn’t all. Deputies also found burglary tools, methamphetamine, stolen credit cards, and IDs that didn’t belong to them.

All four suspects were arrested and now facing identity theft, mail theft, conspiracy, and several other charges. Two had outstanding warrants. All four have prior theft-related offenses.
