Fatal Collision in Lemon Grove 

October 7, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report on a fatal collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist in Lemon Grove is under investigation.

On Sunday, October 5, just before 9:30 p.m., deputies from the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Substation responded to reports of a serious injury collision in the 8500 block of Troy Street.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the collision occurred between a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a bicyclist. The bicyclist was found lying on an eastbound lane of Troy Street, just east of the intersection with Camino De Las Palmas.

Deputies and paramedics performed life-saving measures at the scene before the bicyclist was transported to a hospital. Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced deceased just before 10:30 p.m.

At this time, neither DUI nor reckless driving are suspected in the collision. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with Sheriff's Traffic Investigators.

The decedent's identity is being withheld until next-of-kin notifications can be made.
