October 15, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 10:23 p.m., deputies from Chino Hills Station were dispatched to the 4000 block of Village Drive, in the city of Chino Hills, in response to a medical aid. Upon arrival, deputies located Jillian Jones deceased inside of her residence. Subsequent investigation confirmed Jillian suffered from a fatal traumatic injury. The suspect was not at the location when deputies arrived.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded to the location and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, detectives determined the victim was in a romantic relationship with Vincent Ratliff.
On Friday, October 9, 2025, SED personnel contacted Ratliff in the city of Victorville as he left his home and detained him. Ratliff was booked into custody at West Valley Detention Center for murder. Based on numerous pieces of evidence investigators have located since the incident, it is believed Ratliff killed Jillian in a domestic violence related incident.
