Burglary Arrest 

October 26, 2025 – Yuba City, CA – Sutter County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 21, 2025, the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office arrested an individual following an investigation into a recent vehicle burglary on Circassian Avenue.

Sutter County Sheriff's Community Service Officer (CSO) initiated the investigation after a victim reported that their vehicle had been broken into and a backpack containing high-end sunglasses and other personal items had been stolen.

The Sutter County Sheriff's Investigation Unit was then assigned to the case and quickly identified the suspect as 29-year-old Michael Johnson of Marysville. After further investigation, detectives located Johnson in his vehicle and recovered the victim’s stolen property.

Johnson was taken into custody and booked into the Sutter County Jail on theft-related charges, including prior offenses.

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents to secure their vehicles, avoid leaving valuables in plain view, and report any suspicious activity.
