Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Deceased and Another Severely Injured
November 5, 2025 – Sylmar, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Valley Traffic Detectives
(VTD) are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic collision that killed a woman in her 40’s and severely injured a male in his 40’s.
On October 30, 2025, at around 10:35 p.m., a 46-year-old female and a 40-year-old male were walking across the roadway on Foothill Boulevard, just north of Kagel Canyon Street. As the pedestrians were crossing the street, they were struck by a red 2005 Honda Accord 2-door coupe traveling north on Foothill Boulevard, the driver of the red Honda failed to stop, ID self, and render aid as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the 46-year-old female dead at scene. The male pedestrian suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
VTD detectives are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this fatal hit and run. If you witnessed the collision, please contact VTD detectives.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
