Vehicle vs. Pedestrian in Poway 

November 9, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Friday, November 7, just before 8:30 a.m., deputies from the Poway Sheriff’s Station responded to multiple reports of a collision just east of the intersection of Twin Peaks Road and Espola Road in Poway. 

Upon arrival, deputies learned a 12-year-old juvenile was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound in the 14100 block of Twin Peaks Road. 

According to multiple witnesses who remained on scene, the juvenile was observed running across a section of the roadway which is not designated for pedestrian crossing. 

The juvenile was transported by paramedics to Rady Children's Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
