Scam Phone Calls on the Rise! 

November 10, 2025 – Yuba County Sheriff’s Department officials report on recent phone scam.

No matter how many times we put out warnings or create informational videos, people are still falling for scam phone calls. Why? Because the scammers are more aggressive, demanding, and convincing than ever! And our elderly population tends to be the most common target.

What can you do? Take a moment to make a phone call or send out a group text to friends and family to be extra cautious and prepared for these types of calls. Some of the more popular scams are callers claiming to be law-enforcement, the IRS, or even someone making threats against a family member.
