November 12, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials report that on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at about 12:00 p.m.,
the decedent’s husband left his residence. When he returned later in the day, he could not locate his wife. Hiroko’s personal items remained at the residence. Sheriff’s Dispatch was called, and Hiroko was reported missing.
On Friday, October 31, 2025, at about 1:00 p.m., Hiroko’s body was discovered by her husband on the property. Deputies from the Morongo Station arrived at the location and investigated the scene.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded to the location and assumed the investigation. This investigation is pending the outcome of an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
