Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge

November 12, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that (LAPD) Force Investigation Division is
investigating a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge that occurred in 77th Street Division.
On November 9, 2025, around 6:45 a.m., an on-duty Police Officer assigned to 77th Street Division was in the men’s locker room, removing his Department-approved duty weapon from his duty belt, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. The bullet struck the floor of the locker room.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
Force Investigation Division (FID) personnel responded and are investigating the incident.
