Backyard Bandits Busted!
November 19, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that deputies responded to a burglary in progress on Reynolds Drive in unincorporated Morgan Hill after a homeowner spotted two women in the backyard. While there was no evidence of forced entry, the suspects were seen trying to open doors.
Shortly after, deputies located a suspicious SUV nearby with two people matching the description. One was found with a meth pipe. Things got even more suspicious when deputies discovered the SUV had a fake paper license plate—a photocopy made to look real.
Inside the vehicle, deputies found:
- A black ski mask & tan Halloween mask
- Louis Vuitton bags and a purse
- San Francisco 49ers collectible coins
- Gift cards & debit cards
- A BB gun
- A baseball bat with black and pink screws
One suspect had an active warrant out of Santa Cruz County for three counts of burglary and conspiracy. Both were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for attempted burglary, conspiracy, and other charges.
