Fatal Traffic Collision 

November 26, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on November 24, RCSO Machuca2025, at 9:06 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision involving two vehicles in the area of Clinton Keith Road and Palomar Street, in the city of Wildomar. Upon arrival, deputies located a subject in the roadway with significant injuries and attempted life-saving measures, but the subject identified as Debra Amicay a 56-year-old, was ultimately pronounced at the scene. One driver was extricated and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. It was determined that the second driver, identified as Erica Machuca, a 33-year-old resident of Hemet, was driving under the influence. Machuca was taken into custody and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for driving under the influence causing injury, and the murder of Debra Amicay.
