November 27, 2025 – Lakewood Sheriff's Station officials report that on Tuesday, deputies pursued a vehicle connected to an armed carjacking. During the pursuit, an occupant was seen throwing a firearm out of the window.

Deputies ultimately detained both individuals, one of whom was identified as a parolee with a no-bail warrant.

The firearm was soon after recovered on the roof of a residence.

The suspects now face multiple charges, including felony evading, felon in possession of a firearm, hit-and-run, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and driving a stolen vehicle.
