Homicide Investigation
December 1, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 4:14 a.m.,
deputies from the Perris Sheriff's Station were dispatched to the 20000 block of Clark Street, in the unincorporated area of Perris known as Mead Valley, regarding an unresponsive male.
Upon arrival, deputies located the male and performed lifesaving measures, but the male, later identified as Angel Gonzalez, a 70-year-old resident of Mead Valley, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Based on the information provided, the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit was requested and assumed the investigation.
During the investigation, Gonzalez's son, Juan Gonzalez, a 47-year-old resident of Mead Valley, was identified as the suspect. Gonzalez was taken into custody and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for murder. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
