Update: Search Warrant in San Marcos
December 4, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that an arrest has been made in the 
criminal investigation of a pet cremation business in San Marcos.
On Tuesday, December 2, detectives from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station contacted Angel Paws Cremation owner Christopher Settle (39) outside his home in the City of Temecula. He was taken into custody pursuant to a grand theft arrest warrant issued the same day by a North County Superior Court Judge.
Settle waived extradition and was subsequently transported to San Diego County, where he was booked at the Vista Detention Facility on the outstanding warrant.
