Recovered Stolen Property Viewing
December 6, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that detectives with the sheriff's office will be hosting a public viewing of recovered stolen property in the hopes of returning these items to their rightful owners.
The items, ranging from valuable comic books, sport collectibles, power tools and electronics, were stolen from storage units in Vista, Oceanside and Escondido. The stolen items were recovered in October and November 2025 and have an estimated value of around $1 million.
The viewings by Sheriff's Property and Evidence will be held on:
Saturday, December 13, 2025, and Saturday, January 3, 2026
8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sheriff's Investigations, Crime Lab, Property and Evidence (ICP) Building
5590 Overland Avenue, Kearny Mesa
Please enter the County Operations Center campus from Chesapeake Drive.
Sheriff's Property and Evidence is located on the northwest side of the building, south of the gas pumps.
Park in areas marked for visitors.
Those attending the viewing will need to meet at least one of the following criteria to claim their property:
- Personal identification
- Sheriff's (or any law enforcement agency) Case Number
- Prove their name is on the item
- A receipt with the item's serial number
If the individual did not report the stolen item, but can prove it belongs to them, a report will be taken. If the individual believes the stolen item is theirs, but can't prove it, a Sheriff's Deputy will take their information and contact them after the viewing is over.
