December 7, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on December 3, 2025, at 8:44 p.m., deputies from the Palm
Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a business in the 72000 block of Ramon Road, Thousand Palms, regarding a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect, and he was taken into custody without incident. The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station’s Robbery Burglary Suppression Team responded and assumed the investigation. The suspect was identified as Pedro Rueda, a 47-year-old resident of Cathedral City. Rueda was arrested for burglary and was also found to be in possession of narcotics and a loaded firearm. Rueda was later booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for burglary, weapons violations, and narcotics violations.
