Operation “Return to Sender” 

December 10, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force (VCORTTF), working with local law enforcement partners, arrested 5 Los Angeles County residents linked to UPS cargo thefts across Ventura County from April–October 2025. The thefts resulted in an estimated $70,000 in losses.

The suspects were charged with grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

VCORTTF works with retailers, law enforcement, and the public to combat organized retail, vehicle, and cargo theft in Ventura County.
