Pedestrian killed, collision under investigation 

December 15, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in San Marcos is under investigation.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at about 11:41 p.m., deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station responded to reports of a collision in the 900 block of W. San Marcos Boulevard.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the collision occurred between a maroon Ford F-150 and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was found in the westbound lanes of W. San Marcos Boulevard.

Deputies and paramedics provided life-saving measures at the scene; however, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at 11:58 p.m.

The driver of the F-150 remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The investigation determined the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
