Targeted Enforcement Operation at Rancho Mirage Park 

December 19, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on December 17, 2025, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team and Rancho Mirage Problem-Oriented Policing Team, in coordination with the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, conducted a targeted public safety enforcement operation in and around the 71000 block of San Jacinto Drive, Rancho Mirage.

The operation was initiated following multiple complaints from the city of Rancho Mirage Code Enforcement Division and members of the public regarding ongoing illegal activity within the park. The purpose of the operation was to address quality-of-life concerns and ensure the park remains a safe and family-friendly environment for all patrons.

As a result of the operation, the following arrests were made:

Eriberto Santana, a 45-year-old resident of Thousand Palms, was arrested for lewd and lascivious acts in public and was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.

Kevin Winston, a 62-year-old resident of Rancho Mirage, was arrested for lewd and lascivious acts in public and was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to maintaining public safety and deterring criminal activity, particularly in community spaces intended for families, children, and recreational use. These enforcement operations are conducted to preserve the quality of life for residents and visitors throughout Rancho Mirage and the greater Coachella Valley.
