December 19, 2025 – Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department officials report in a joint press conference held by the Covina Police Department, Sheriff Robert Luna and representatives from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Los Angeles Field Division, Covina Police Department, and Baldwin Park Police Department, announced a significant enforcement led by ATF resulting in the arrests of 16 members and associates of the San Gabriel Valley-based, Mexican Mafia-linked, Puente-13 street gang.
17 search warrants and 20 federal arrest warrants were served throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties representing the culmination of an approximately three-year investigation involving local, state, and federal agencies, targeting associates of the Mexican Mafia and members of Puente-13 street gang.
Sheriff Luna said, “Because of their efforts, we removed many guns from our streets, significant quantities of narcotics, and ammunition. Dangerous gang members will now be going to jail, and most importantly, the communities they impacted will be safer.”
