Illegal Dumping Won’t Be Tolerated 

December 29, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report on recent dumping offense. 

Caught on Camera: Illegal dumpers thought they could trash our county and get away with it. They were wrong.

When a trailer load of brush and debris was dumped along Castro Valley Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard in Gilroy, our Rural Crimes Unit teamed up with County Roads & Airports to clean up the mess and track down those responsible.

Hours of manpower went into restoring this area—your tax dollars at work.

Investigators found the truck and trailer, and the main suspect admitted what he did.

This case shows how collaboration between county departments makes a difference. Together, we’re sending a clear message: Illegal dumping won’t be tolerated.
