January 1, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that after recovering three deceased males from San Bernardino County Sheriff logoMount Baldy, one has been positively identified as Marcus Alexander Muench Casanova, a 19-year-old resident of Seal Beach, CA on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, 9:35 A.M.  The cause of death is still pending.   

The Sheriff’s Coroner Division is still working to ID the other two decedents.  

This investigation is still ongoing, and an update will be provided as soon as we have more information to release.  

Recovery operation for all the subjects is underway.  More information will be released as it becomes available. No further details are available at this time.
