Tech Tool Targets Brazen Burglars 

January 5, 2026 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that the license plate readers in West Valley recently helped deputies stop a burglary crew before they struck again!

Deputies spotted a car linked to City of Cupertino burglaries and made a high-risk stop on Amherst Drive and N. Portal Drive. Inside there were three suspects who were wanted for burglary, vehicle theft, and grand theft. One of them admitted they were planning another hit that night.

Burglary tools and drug items were found in the car. All three suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
