Drugs Discovered 

January 11, 2026 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that thanks to a tip and the vigilance of our correctional deputies, a recent search uncovered illegal substances inside two cells at the County of Santa Clara, Main Jail.

Deputies found handmade cigarettes with a strong odor of marijuana, a bag of white powder, and bindles of an orange/brown substance believed to be THC.

A body scan revealed additional contraband hidden on one individual, including dozens of bindles of white powder, THC concentrate, and other unknown drugs.

These proactive searches—and acting on information about illegal activity—are essential to preventing dangerous situations and ensuring the safety of everyone in our care.
