January 11, 2026 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Task Force is proud to share that a community tip led to the arrest of George Albert Tuesday night!
Albert, 51, had failed to register as a sex offender for five years and was wanted on two warrants. He also has a prior conviction for child molestation.
Back in November, SAFE shared Albert’s information on social media. That post generated an anonymous tip with crucial details. Our Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team (FAST) followed up and confirmed Albert was in the Sacramento area. Working with the U.S. Marshals, an operation was carried out this week, and Albert was taken into custody at his home.
