1/15/26 Update Per Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department: Missing Persons Unit is advising Jane Irene Sownie has been found.

January 13, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help locating missing person, Jan Irene Sownie. She is a 74-year-old White female adult who was last seen on January 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., on the 9300 block Artesia Boulevard, in the city of Bellflower.
Ms. Sownie is 5’05” tall, 145 lbs. with auburn shoulder length hair, brown eyes, scar on lower lip chin area, and has glasses.
Ms. Sownie has mental health disorders and there is concern for her well-being.
