January 15, 2026 – Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a license plate reader flagged a stolen Audi on S. De Anza Boulevard near Bollinger Road in City of Cupertino last week. Deputies acted fast and pulled the car over, which had been reported stolen from San Jose.

During the investigation, deputies discovered:

• Multiple driver’s licenses and credit cards belonging to other people
• Burglary tools
• The driver provided false identification and impersonated someone else

The suspect was on probation for identity theft and had two prior convictions for stolen vehicles. He was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Great teamwork by our West Valley deputies keeping our community safe!
