Bank Robbery in Santee 

January 17, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a man has been arrested on suspicion of san diego county sheriff department logorobbing a bank in Santee. 

On Monday, January 12, 2026, just after 9:00 a.m., an individual entered the Chase Bank located at 10 Town Center Parkway and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The suspect was described as a White man, approximately 20 to 30 years old, wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt, black pants, black baseball cap, black sunglasses and carrying a black backpack.

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force responded to assist the San Diego County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.

Video surveillance was obtained and deputies from the Santee Sheriff's Station identified the suspect from prior contacts as Bruce Clark Furze (31).

On Thursday, January 15, just before 7:00 p.m., Furze was detained and arrested while attempting to cross the border at the San Ysidro Pedestrian Port of Entry. He was subsequently booked into the San Diego Central Jail for robbery.
