January 20, 2026 – Live Oak, CA – Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they have made an arrest following an Sutter SO Live Oakinvestigation into the unlawful possession and suspected trafficking of firearms in the City of Live Oak.

Investigators received information indicating that an individual at a residence in the 10100 block of N Street was manufacturing and selling stolen firearms. The suspect was known to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for a prior firearms-related offense and had an outstanding felony no-bail arrest warrant, along with a history of resisting arrest.

While investigators were conducting surveillance, the suspect was observed leaving the residence on a bicycle. When law enforcement attempted to detain the individual, the suspect fled, first on the bicycle and then on foot, before being apprehended a short distance away.

The suspect is identified as 48-year-old Kenneth Mosley of Live Oak. Following his arrest, additional personnel responded to secure the residence. The Special Enforcement Detail Team (SED) responded and executed the residential search warrant without incident.

During the search of the residence, investigators located ammunition, a high-powered rifle, and evidence indicating the presence of additional firearms.

Mosley was booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, resisting or obstructing an officer, evading law enforcement, and an outstanding PRCS violation warrant.
