February 8, 2026 – Sacramento County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Thursday evening, Sheriff’s Gang Suppression Unit Detectives attempted to stop 32-year-old Albert Green, for a vehicle code violation, but Green refused to stop and continued driving for a few miles before getting tactically blocked in by Sheriff’s vehicles. He was then detained without further incident.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded, unserialized AR-style pistol with one round in the chamber and multiple extended magazines. The firearm was equipped with a conversion mechanism allowing it to function as a fully automatic weapon. Detectives also located a Glock 20 with a switch attached, which converted the handgun to fully automatic operation, along with other ammunition inside the vehicle.
A records check showed Green is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on related charges. His booking photo is not available for public release, as California law deemed his crimes “non-violent.”
